I could hardly walk when I went to my initial visit thinking I had just put my back out of place.  Well it was a little more than that I had fractured two vertebrae in my lower lumbar region.  I have had so much progress I go twice per week. Very kind and thoughtful which also helps the healing process.  I get impatient with my progress knowing that my Lord and savior can heal in an instant and wondering about the process that I am going through.  I have had days where the pain has gone from 90 percent pain to 10 percent.  I have some days where I am walking pain free maybe just a little discomfort.  That is a miracle all by itself.  I am learning that it is okay to care for myself too.  Very important.  I have been a care giver for many years. My friend from work said to try DuMars Family Chiropractic. It was very easy and fast to get in. Scheduling is super easy. Alex, the chiropractor, who worked wonders on my shoulder and neck made the pain start lessening on the second visit. After a thorough examination, Dr DuMars gently urged me to start a regular schedule of appointments for adjustments. Wow! I am so grateful I followed his advice. Within a few weeks my energy returned and continues to improve. I am sleeping better.

I text the office and explained my situation and why it was crucial for me to come in earlier. Dr DuMars responded right away and got me in that morning. He was polite and professional and has really good positive vibes. You will not be disappointed! He gave me a minor adjustment being my first time there. My pain level was a 9/10 on the pain scale. I couldn’t take it anymore. Well after the adjustment it went way down to bearable! On the second visit the following day, the pain was gone! I was apprehensive at first, having had a poor experience at another practice, but I am very glad I came to DFC for care. Dr Alexander's gentle approach suited me well and gave my body the help it needed to become more balanced and to (eventually) lose the chronic pain and tightness I thought I'd just have to live with. He is extremely knowledgeable and is always ready with targeted stretches and exercises I can do to keep myself well. Dr Alexander has made a tremendous difference in my life - my neck and other pain is gone and I feel better and am more comfortable than I've been in years. Sometimes, when it’s clinically necessary.
We do have an on-site X-ray unit, and we use it when we need more clarity about what’s going on. Not every patient needs X-rays. We only take them when they help us create a safer, more personalized care plan for you.

3. Do you adjust using hands or an activator?

We use both!

Some bodies respond best to hands-on chiropractic adjustments, while others respond better to instrument-assisted adjusting like the Activator. We examine how your body moves and heals, then use the technique that gets you the best results with the least stress on your nervous system.
