Vertigo & Dizziness Treatment

End the Spinning. Restore Balance. Get Your Life Back.

If you’ve experienced vertigo, you know how overwhelming it can be:

  • The room is suddenly spinning
  • Difficulty walking straight
  • Nausea or motion sensitivity
  • Fear of rolling over in bed or turning your head

It can feel unpredictable, scary, and exhausting — but the good news is:

Many cases of vertigo are highly treatable with precise, targeted care.

We specialize in helping patients find relief through positional testing, the Epley maneuver, and gentle, precise chiropractic adjustments to the upper neck.

What Causes Vertigo?

The most common cause of vertigo we see is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo (BPPV).

This occurs when tiny calcium “crystals” inside the inner ear move out of position and stimulate the balance canals incorrectly, causing spinning sensations with movement.

Common signs of BPPV:

✔ Dizziness when rolling in bed

✔ Vertigo when looking up or bending forward

✔ Sudden waves of nausea

✔ Episodes triggered by head position changes

This type of vertigo is extremely treatable when properly diagnosed.

We Identify Which Ear Is Involved

During your evaluation, we perform specific positional tests to determine:

  • Which ear is affected
  • Which canal inside the ear is irritated
  • What head position triggers symptoms

Once we identify the exact side and canal, we can apply the correct repositioning maneuver.

This is critical, not all vertigo should be treated the same way.

The Epley Maneuver

Fast and Effective Relief

For BPPV, we use a well-researched technique called the Epley maneuver to guide displaced crystals back to where they belong.

Research shows the Epley maneuver is successful in up to 80–90% of cases, often with immediate improvement.

Many patients experience relief in just one to two visits.

We also teach you how to avoid movements that could re-trigger vertigo during the healing process.

How Chiropractic Adjustments Help Vertigo

Your upper neck (especially the atlas, or C1) plays a key role in:

  • Balance
  • Spatial awareness
  • Communication between the inner ear and the brain

When the atlas loses its normal alignment or motion, it can disrupt nervous system signaling and contribute to dizziness or instability.

Gentle, precise chiropractic adjustments can:

  • Improve neck mobility
  • Reduce pressure on balance-related nerves
  • Support the brain-body coordination involved in equilibrium
  • Help stabilize posture and head movement

We do not force or twist the neck.
Our adjustments are controlled, gentle, and extremely specific.

What Treatment Looks Like Here

Your vertigo care plan may include:

Treatment

Purpose

Positional Testing

Determine which ear/canal is causing symptoms

Epley or Other Repositioning Maneuvers

Restore normal crystal position & stop spinning

Atlas-Specific Chiropractic Adjustments

Improve neurological balance & motion in the upper neck

Vestibular & Balance Exercises

Retrain stability & reduce recurrence

Postural & Sleep Recommendations

Prevent reinjury & maintain results

We don’t guess.

We test, treat, and track progress.

What Patients Typically Notice

Most patients report:

  • Reduced spinning episodes
  • Less dizziness when rolling over or turning the head
  • Improved balance and confidence
  • Decreased nausea
  • Ability to sleep, drive, and move without fear

In many cases, relief begins during your first visit.
