About Us
Dr. Thomas Kuchenbrod, DC, CHN, Chiropractor
Dr. Thomas Kuchenbrod, DC, CHN is a chiropractic physician with advanced training in functional nutrition and integrative health. A former NCAA athlete with a background in sports medicine, he earned his degree in Public Health from the University of South Carolina before completing his Doctorate of Chiropractic at the National University of Health Sciences.
His clinical approach blends structural chiropractic care with a deep understanding of the body’s innate healing capacity. He focuses on personalized treatment plans that restore function, reduce pain, and support long-term wellness.
Dr. Thomas Kuchenbrod grew up in Charlotte, North Carolina. He grew up with a love for sports and continued on as an NCAA student-athlete at William Peace University (Baseball) before transferring to the University of South Carolina. While at USC, he earned his degree in Public Health (premed) and worked full-time on the athletic training staff for the Gamecock football team. Running out of the tunnel in front of 100,000 fans, working alongside surgeons, physical therapists, and sports medicine physicians—these experiences shaped his foundation in human performance, injury recovery, and hands-on patient care.
However, his path into chiropractic and functional medicine developed from something far deeper.
During college, he was diagnosed with severe ulcerative colitis and pancolitis. After years of symptoms, pain, and unanswered questions, he realized that traditional medicine alone was not enough. That diagnosis became a turning point—shifting his perspective from athlete, to patient, and ultimately to doctor. It ignited a lifelong commitment to understanding how the body heals itself.
Determined to recover and help others do the same, Dr. Thomas Kuchenbrod pursued an 18-month certification in holistic nutrition, followed by earning his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the National University of Health Sciences, one of the nation’s leading institutions for integrative and alternative medicine. There, he also completed a post-doctoral certification in Functional Nutrition, assisted in cadaver dissection labs, and trained future doctors in clinical diagnosis, imaging interpretation, soft-tissue therapy, and physiological therapeutics.
His clinical career has included work in multidisciplinary practice in Florida and extensive functional medicine coaching, where he has helped thousands of individuals in more than 40 countries restore their health through lifestyle-based and structural healing approaches.
In patient care, his mission is clear:
To restore the body’s innate ability to heal so patients can move out of pain and into a fuller, more abundant life.
Each patient’s body responds differently, and care should reflect that. His approach blends structural chiropractic care with a functional understanding of how the nervous system, muscles, and organs interact. The goal is not only relief, but transformation in how patients move, feel, and live.
